The group claims London has lost 1,388 firefighters and control staff, 10 stations and 26 fire appliances because of cuts since 2010.

The union also says London’s only fireboat has been unavailable for 13 shifts this month.

The revelations come on the anniversary of the last year’s wildfires in East London which destroyed 18 homes.
