New research suggests a third of teenage girls in the UK are missing out on P-E lessons because of their experience in the school changing room.

The survey, commissioned The Sweaty Betty Foundation in Fulham, identified privacy and period product disposal among the key concerns.

It’s launched an initiative to get pupils involved in the design of their own school’s facilities

The organisation’s director Afsana Lachaux is hoping this is just the beginning of wider change.
