New British men’s tennis number one Jack Draper, who’s from Sutton, has begun his Queen’s campaign.

It was a comfortable straight sets victory over Argentina’s Mariano Navone.

He was playing just 48 hours after winning his first ATP Tour title in Stuttgart.

Draper’s reward is a meeting with reigning Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz in the second round.

He says facing him is one of the biggest challenges in the sport right now.
