MPs are going to debate whether the government should appoint a maternity commissioner for England later.

They’ll be examining a petition, submitted by ex Made in Chelsea reality star Louise Thompson.

She wants an independent person, appointed by ministers to support women and families.

She was diagnosed with PTSD after the traumatic birth of her son Leo in 2021.

Speaking in February at a protest, Louise said there’s power when women stand together.
