London Fire Brigade is warning smokers to dispose of cigarettes properly after three fires caused by careless disposal.

Firefighters from Chelsea, Battersea, Fulham and Tooting dealt with a flat fire in Chelsea, where one man was taken to hospital.

Other fires happened in Enfield and Southgate, with homes and sheds damaged.

Firefighters are reminding people to fully put cigarettes out and dispose of them safely, especially on balconies.
