Local residents near the railway can now access a free digital service providing real-time updates on engineering works.

Those living within 500m of a railway line on Network Rail’s Wessex route, covering south-west London are encouraged to sign up.

This opt-in email service ensures people receive timely information about any works that may cause a disturbance in their area.

It is part of a wider national initiative benefiting Network Rail’s 25 million neighbours across the country.
