It’s after the MP for Kingston and Surbiton issued a statement on X.
It reads “people have had enough of Elon Musk interfering with our country’s democracy when he clearly knows nothing about Britain.”
But some social media users say his stance is hypocritical considering his own condemnation of the American election results.

Sir Ed Davey has clarified his stance to us this morning. He says;
“It’s fine for people to share robust views about politicians in this country or any other, I do that myself.
“I don’t think someone who is going to be an official in the US government should be suggesting the overthrowing of our democracy, that is why I suggested the British Govt should call in the US Ambassador.”
