Large gardens at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show will have to pass a so-called ‘green audit’ before being approved.

The Royal Horticultural Society has analysed designs to make sure they match new sustainability criteria.

This includes waste, selection of materials and biodiversity.

Some have been adjusted, reducing carbon emissions by a potential 28%.
