The car-sharing platform has about 550,000 members in London but announced last year that it is looking to cease UK operations.
Lambeth residents traditionally have low levels of car ownership because of their access to public transport.
But they do use car clubs for occasional trips.
Councillors have written to the Secretary of State for Transport to request better national level co-ordination of car club operators.
