Lambeth Council has been shortlisted for a national award for supporting theatres and arts venues.

The borough is home to the Bread & Roses Theatre in Clapham and South London Theatre in West Norwood.

The council has given money and other support to help venues improve their buildings and attract more people.

The winner of the Great British Theatres Awards will be announced in November.
