Nearly £10,000 from the Royal Society of Chemistry will create a tool for users to assess the environmental impact of their experiments.
The money will cover chemicals, equipment, and energy use and generate a summary with suggestions to reduce harm.
The app and findings will be shared globally via a free online platform to promote greener lab practices.
