Kingston Council says it is “exploring all options” after it was told a community centre for disabled people will close in October.

Home Farm Trust has told the authority it will need to close its day services at Springfield Resource Centre due to financial difficulties.

The building in New Malden offers support, education and activities to over 100 adults with learning disabilities.

Kingston Council says it understands the news is “unsettling” and it is a fast-developing situation.
