It’s understood British Airways is on the brink of a long-term pay deal with its pilots.

Under the agreement, staff at the Heathrow based airline would see a 4% pay rise this year, followed by further uplifts every six months.

Although the airline pilots’ union BALPA says nothing’s been signed, a BA spokesman says the deal will last until 2027 “in principle”.
