Hounslow Council is urging residents to look out for one another and seek support if needed as the World Cup gets underway this summer.

It has highlighted the increased risk of domestic abuse during major football tournaments.

While international tournaments can bring communities together, evidence shows they can also coincide with a rise in abuse incidents.

The Council is supporting national campaigns, including Crimestoppers’ “Let’s call time on abuse”, to raise awareness
