Hounslow Council is to spend £150 million on housing repairs over the next five years.

Core works will be carried out on authority owned properties to make sure they are “safe and well-maintained.”

At the same time, the council says it has taken the “difficult decision” to increase rents across its housing stock by 7.7%.

Service charges for tenants will also rise, by 6.7% on average which is the CPI rate.
