Grass cutting is being reduced across Elmbridge this month because of the hot, dry weather.

The council says there will be just one cut, focusing on areas where it is essential, including cricket squares and fire breaks.

Contractors will also sweep paths, edge grass and clear overgrown hedges and shrubs.

Dog walkers are asking that Foxtails are included in the cut as their seeds can easily and painfully lodge inside ear canals, paws and skin.
