The 32-year-old has made 18 appearances this season and was influential in their two-one win against Arsenal on Sunday.
The midfielder has been at Craven Cottage since 2015 and became captain in 2017 following Scott Parker’s departure.
The former Scotland International’s existing deal was due to expire at the end of this season.
