Four new surgical theatres are to be built at Ashford Hospital.

They’ll allow for more elective orthopaedic procedures, including hip and knee replacements.

The hospital trust says the new site will help to significantly reduce waiting times and increase staff training opportunities.

The plan is to start treating the first patients in spring and it’s hoped the centre will be fully open by the summer.
