Royal Mail has announced a new boss after its former chief executive stepped down last year.
Simon Thompson is being replaced by Heathrow’s operations chief Emma Gilthorpe.
He resigned last May following a battle with the Wimbledon based Communication Workers Union and a series of postal strikes.
Ms Gilthorpe will join the group next month.
