The incident happened in June 2021.
42 year old Barton was convicted of the attack on 36 year old Georgia at Westminster Magistrates’ Court.
In February 2022, Mrs Barton wrote to the Crown Prosecution Service to say she no longer supported the case.
But the High Court decided Barton should still face trial.
He will be sentenced at a later date and the couple is still married.
