Firefighters are issuing a reminder of the importance of having working smoke alarms following a fire at a block of flats in Feltham.

The blaze broke out in the early hours is Bedfont Lane and one woman with a baby evacuated the building before the Brigade arrived.

Smoke alarms were installed at the property but were not in operation.

The fire is believed to be accidental and thought to have been electrical.
