The fire in Wiseton Road was in a shed being used as a home distillery in the garden of a mid-terraced house.
Most of the shed was damaged and around 400 litres of part-distilled gin spilled and were contained to the court yard.
The fire was under control by just after 1pm with the cause still under investigation.
