The plan, which details house building in the borough over the next 15 years, had to be put on hold for several months last year.

It’s after residents voiced concerns about the amount of greenbelt land that had been included in it.

Feeling was so strong that a petition against it was signed by over 10,000 people and public protests took place.

The revised plan will be debated at a council meeting next week and be recommended to Full Council in December.

Councillors have warned that difficult decisions will have to be made and another public consultation will take place in due course.
