Epsom and Ewell Borough Council has confirmed a property that was egged in Epsom during protests is not housing asylum seekers.

Hundreds of people gathered in Upper High Street on Monday night to demonstrate for a second time.

Four people were arrested on suspicion of offences including assaulting an emergency worker.

The council says the property is not an HMO, housing asylum seekers and the authority has no record of it ever having been one.
