Eight fire engines and around 60 fire fighters attended a blaze on High Street in Sutton yesterday afternoon.

London Fire Brigade crews were called out at 2:41pm and had the fire under control by 8:37pm later that night.

The building, which consisted of a restaurant on the ground floor and flats above, had damage to part of the first floor and roof.

There are no reports of any injuries, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
