Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson feels Wayne Rooney wasn’t given enough time at Birmingham City before he was sacked.

The ex-Manchester United striker was captain of the national team under Hodgson.

Rooney was fired after just 83 days in charge at St Andrew’s, but having lost 9 of his 15 games in charge.

Hodgson thinks he’ll bounce-back.
