Strikes by Croydon Tramlink engineers have been suspended.
Five days of strikes scheduled to begin this Sunday have been suspended according to the Unite Union.
But members say if the talks do not result in an offer that meets the engineers’ expectations, strike action will take place from the 5th to the 9th of May and again from the 11th to the 15th of July.
Unite regional officer Bruce Swann said: “As a sign of good faith, our members have agreed to suspend strike action after TfL said it would meaningfully negotiate with Unite over pay disparities. Strike action will occur during May and July, however, if a satisfactory outcome is not reached during the talks.”
