Croydon Council and Network Rail have agreed funding to open a new pedestrian route at East Croydon Station.

The bridge will connect the east and west sides of the station, giving residents a direct route into the town centre.

Work is expected to begin this summer, with the new entrance due to open in 2027.

The project is part of a wider £40 million plan to improve links and regenerate Croydon town centre.
