It’s being claimed that the borough of Richmond could be smoke-free in just two years time.
The news comes from researchers who’ve crunched eight years worth of data from the ONS.
They found that only six people in every hundred identify as smokers in Richmond, making the borough the most successful in the UK when it comes to kicking the habit.
Kingston wasn’t far behind, with just seven per cent identifying as smokers.
The analysis was carried out for vaping retailer Go Smoke Free.
