Chiswick House and Gardens has been handed £180,000 to create a new energy efficient space for up to 100 artists.

The money is coming from the Mayor of London’s office.

Chiswick House is a Neo-Palladian style villa completed in 1729.

The money will be used to make energy saving improvements at some of its connecting buildings to allow them to be brought back to use.
