Chelsea say footage appearing to show midfielder Conor Gallagher snubbing a mascot has been taken “considerably out of context”.

Gallagher didn’t high-five a youngster, who’s black, in the tunnel before last weekend’s Premier League fixture against Burnley.

He has received messages online accusing him of being racist.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino is angry at the situation.
