Chelsea manager Sonia Bompastor hopes Naomi Girma can become a “consistent” player for the team despite a slow start to life at the club.

She joined from San Diego Wave in what was a world record transfer last year.

But she hasn’t started a Women’s Super League match this season.

Bompastor says they’re protecting Girma.
