Chelsea wrote to supporters following the 3-2 victory at Craven Cottage after receiving “multiple reports of sectarian chanting from a small portion” of fans.
The club said those found guilty would face “the strongest possible action”.
The FA say the chanting took place in the 9th minute of the game on August 24th.
