The site was at the cutting edge of hospital design when it was opened in 1993 by the late Queen Elizabeth II.

To mark the event, the hospital’s youngest patients received a visit from Chelsea FC players.

The week of celebrations also saw the launch of the Thirty at Thirty campaign which aims to raise £30 million for the Trust.

More than 60 staff abseiled down the hospital building to kickstart the fundraiser, collecting more than £30,000 as a result.
