Campaigners hoping to stop Motspur Park gas works being turned into tower blocks have launched a fundraiser to help fight their case.

Kingston Council has already rejected Berkeley Homes’ plan for the site which is designated as Metropolitan Open Land.

But the decision now lies with Mayor of London, Sir Sadiq Khan, who has ‘called in’ the application, so will have the final say.

Residents hope they will raise £4,200 via the crowdfunder which will be used for an independent review.
