44 year old Bridget Driscoll from Croydon died after being hit by a car with a maximum speed of 8 miles per hour.
The RoadPeace Challenge is urging people to run, cycle, walk or horse ride 1,766 miles.
The annual event taking place this week aims to raise money for the national charity for road crash victims.
