The brigade was called to Stanley Road at around 5pm to a bonfire that has spread out of control.
Two sheds and fencing were destroyed, while part of a third shed and two neighbouring garden rooms were damaged.
There are no reports of any injuries, and the fire is believed to have started accidentally.
