Police are appealing for information to help piece together the circumstances following the death of a man on Friday.

The man, who has been identified as 60 year old Xuesan Li, was taken to the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford on the 16th of October with a serious head injury following what was believed to have been a fall at a building site.

His condition deteriorated and he was taken to St George’s Hospital in Tooting where he died four days later from his injuries.

His death is being treated as unexplained and we are carrying out a number of enquiries to establish what happened.

Detective Inspector Jonathan Bradshaw, who is investigating the case, said: “Mr Li’s family has been made aware of his death and our thoughts remain with them at this very difficult time.

“We have very little information to go on at this stage and are making a number of enquiries to piece together what has taken place.

“We are appealing to anyone who knew Mr Li, or who has any information which could help us understand what happened to him, to contact us straightaway.
