The RSPCA has launched an investigation after the animal was discovered bloodstained and with a head injury in a crate.
Another dog was found mutilated and with major head trauma in an alleyway in Carshalton three weeks ago.
From next Thursday it will be a criminal offence to own an XL bully without an exemption certificate.
