Officers searched the Watersedge Estate in February following reports of cuckooing, uncovering Class A drugs and items linked to supply.
22 year old Mason Branch pleaded guilty and was handed a 22-month sentence suspended for 2 years, along with 240 hours of unpaid work.
£1,520 seized during the investigation was forfeited and awarded to Chestnut Tree Children’s Hospice.
Neighbourhood Sergeant Adam Staplehurst said:
“This was a proactive piece of work involving officers from Centurion, the dedicated Surrey and Sussex Police team tackling county lines drug activity, and the Epsom & Ewell Neighbourhood Team. Both teams work closely together to identify and disrupt drug-related activity in our communities.
“This case also highlights the harm caused by cuckooing, where vulnerable people are exploited by offenders for criminal activity. We are continuing to work with partner agencies to safeguard and support the victim involved.
“We would encourage anyone who has concerns about suspected drug dealing or cuckooing in their area to report it to us. Information from the public plays a vital role in helping us protect vulnerable people and disrupt criminality. We take all reports seriously and remain committed to tackling the supply of harmful drugs in our community.”
