An investigation into a fatal gas explosion in Thornton Heath is still ongoing one year on.

4 year old Sahara Salman died after her terraced house collapsed in Galpin’s Road and 24 families are still in temporary accommodation.

A spokesperson for Southern Gas Networks says “we understand the desire for answers about what happened last year.

However, there is an ongoing investigation by the Met Police and HSE, and the company is co-operating fully with those enquiries.”
