An inquest into the death of a 34-year-old woman at Hammersmith Hospital is due to begin today.

Shara Ali Omar Shara passed away in 2022 while undergoing a sternotomy and aortic valve replacement.

She had four children all under the age of 18.

The inquest at West London Coroner’s Court is due to conclude on Wednesday.
