An event is coming to Surbiton that will create awareness of a medication which rapidly reverses overdoses from opioids.

Naloxone is prescription-only and works by stopping drugs like Heroin and Morphine from attaching to brain receptors.

The Overdose Awareness Day Picnic in the Park will take place in Fishponds on the afternoon of August the 27th.

It’s being hosted by Kingston Wellbeing Service with staff due to offer advice on symptom recognition of overdoses.
