An “away end” is to be trialled when Harlequins take on Leicester at Twickenham Stadium next month.

A designated section of the ground will be set aside for travelling fans.

If successful, the move could become a permanent fixture in the rugby union Premiership.

Another trial will take place when Saracens clash with Gloucester.

It’s hoped that allowing supporters from visiting clubs to gather in a single stand will improve atmospheres and drive-up attendance.
