An ‘Attenborough at 100’ programme has launched across schools in Richmond to inspire the next generation of environmental champions.

It will provide grants of £1,000 to up to 10 primary schools to create projects that help children explore nature and boost biodiversity.

Sir David, who turned 100 years old in May, has lived in the borough since 1952.

The council says it’s “incredibly proud that Richmond has been his home for more than seven decades.”
