Donations started pouring in after sinkholes appeared on the pitch at Plough Lane following flooding.
The stadium also suffered damage, and it resulted in the postponement of their latest League Two match against Accrington and the League Cup encounter with Newcastle.
The Cup match will now be played on Tuesday at St James Park.
In a statement the club thanked everyone who donated or offered support.
However, it says the fundraising drive should now be paused as investigations and a plan to address the issues continue.
