It’s one of a number of Jewish community buildings being given protection following last weekend’s attack on Israel by Hamas.
Merton Council says any resident concerned by or who witnesses a hate crime should report it to police.
In a statement, the authority said “Merton is proud to be a borough of many faiths and communities.
We will continue to stand together in support of all those affected.”
