A young girl from Croydon, who co-founded the UK’s first game championing Afro hair, has won Young Entrepreneur of the Year.

Alyssa and her mother Yvonne Ottley created the app Frobelles back in 2018 to encourage kids to embrace their natural hair.

It came after the 6 year old highlighted the lack of black characters with Afro hair in the gaming apps she enjoyed playing.

The app teaches children how to look after and style their Afro hair, how to get ready for school and it also touches on skin care.
