A woman’s body was discovered in a lake in Egham Hythe yesterday and is being treated as “unexplained”.

Police were called to the lake just off Green Lane at 12:15pm and are appealing for any information around the circumstances.

Emergency services attended the scene and the body of a woman in her 30s was recovered from the water.

The body’ s not yet been formally identified, and a post-mortem will be carried out to establish the cause of death.
