Laleh Zarejouneghani and a two-year-old were found with serious injuries at Imtech House in Woodthorpe Road on the 16th of January.
The 27-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene and the child was taken to hospital for treatment.
A man has appeared in court charged with child cruelty and will next appear at Guildford Crown Court later this week.
